BTLN UPDATE

Congrats Dylan! Dylan has been so close to winning so many times this year. I am guessing that it won't take nearly as long for Dylan to win his second Helmet. Dane was there at the end with Dylan, and only missed winning by three or four feet. Better luck next time Dane!

The game of the week was Handball. The game was very close, both teams scoring in bunches. When the score was tied at 11 we reset to zero. My team scored first and ended winning 3-1!
Props to Robbie, who took two balls to the face in less than a minute and didn't quit!

The Bible study topic this week was "Jesus is the way"

John 14:1-6   “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Acts 4:12   Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Thomas did not understand the way to were Jesus was going. Most of humanity is just as confused as Thomas was. Jesus told Thomas that he (Jesus) was not just the way, but the only way!

Hebrews 12:2   Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus endured the cross because he knew that it was the only way that we could be saved! There was no other way! Jesus was joyful because he knew what he was going to accomplish on the cross.

Romans 10:9-10   If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
