MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I was thinking about Christmas and a scripture passage came to mind, Philippians 2:5-11. Verse 6 talks about Jesus being God.(Who, being in very nature God,)No matter what anyone tells you Jesus is God!(see also John 1:1,2,14) Verse 7 (but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.) This is amazing, the God that created the universe decided to come to earth as a baby, born in a manger! Verse 8 tells us why he came to earth.(he humbled himself and became obedient to death - even death on a cross!) Jesus came to earth to die for our sins!(see also 1Timothy 1:15) Verse 9 talks about Jesus as he is now.(Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,) He isn't the lowly Jesus that was born in a manger or nailed to a cross. He is again exalted as he should be. We get to verses 10 and 11 and we remember why Jesus has left us (christians) on earth.(that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.) A judgement is coming and Jesus will be the judge. He has left us behind to warn everyone and tell them the good news, that Jesus came to earth as a baby, died on a cross for our sins and that he also rose from the dead. We should celebrate Jesus' birth but we should not forget his death and resurrection. We should also remember that he is now exalted in heaven and is there preparing a place for you and me! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Well Devin continues dominance of the 07/08 Battalion year! Sam wins the arm wrestling, Mitchell the basketball, Cody the football toss and Drew the box hockey. Congrats to all. Only disappointment was that Cam wasn't able to come out and try to defend his title. Again way to go Devin!

BULLDOG CHAMPION!

Here it is guys, the trophy for the overall Champion! How do you win? We have been keeping track of the weekly winners of the helmet. The one who wins the helmet the most, at the end of the year will be our Bulldog Champion! As we head into the Olympics here are the standings. Drew Brown and Devin Chursinoff both have two wins each. With one win we have, Nathan Ball, Brian Burdikin, Zach Gobbett, Jake Hachey, Kevin Hayashi, Kaleb Horkoff, Dalton Shore and Cam Thompson. We are almost halfway through the year and our leaders only have two wins, that means everyone is still in the race for the Bulldog! (This is a true British Bulldog it is coming from England!)

BTLN UPDATE

Sorry the updates have been so slow, my computer will be in a more convenient place shortly. As you can see from the pictures Jake and Nathan have won the Helmet the last two weeks, the first time for both this year, congrats guys! We have had two weeks of Bible studies on Joseph, how he conquered temptation, and how even when we make good decisions, it may not look like things are working out for us, but in the end if we choose right God will work all things out for our good. Two weeks ago we tried kick the bucket(kick the can with a strobe light), Jason was kick the buckets first victim as he ran head first into Owen, all in all it was a lot of fun. With the construction there is a new room at the end of the gym we used it when we played bulldog, it was dubbed THE FUNNEL to bad it couldn't stay like that it was sweet! Anyways more updates to come!
